How to connect and login


Connect using your mobile device

Setting up your device is easy. After you have connected to the network once, you will be automatically connected again when you are in range


Select your device below and follow the steps on how to connect to BT Wi-fi.

We are gradually updating our product names and the network name at our hotspots to BT Wi-fi from BT Openzone or BT Fon. In the meantime, you can get online using any of these network names.

To set up a wireless connection using your iPhone or your iPad

1. Select the Settings icon in your iPhone.

2. Select Wi-Fi from the Settings menu.

4. From the list of available networks choose BTWiFi.

To set up a wireless connection using Windows 10:

1. Select the Settings on your Windows Phone.

3. Select Wi-Fi, making sure it is set to On.

2. Select Network & wireless from the Settings menu.

To set up a wireless connection using Windows 8:

1. Select the Settings icon on your Windows Phone.

To set up a wireless connection using your Android

1. Select the Settings icon

5. Press Connect. You are ready to login and go online.

To set up a wireless connection using your BlackBerry

1. On the home screen, click the Manage connections icon.

3. Scroll down and click Wi-Fi network.

2. Select wi-fi from the settings menu to turn Wi-Fi on

4. Select BTWiFi from the list of networks. You are ready to login.

To set up a wireless connection using your HTC

    1. Select the menu button on your device.

    5. From the list of available networks choose BTWiFi
    From the list of available networks choose BT Wi-fi
    2. Select the Settings icon.

    4. Press the wi-fi checkbox to turn wi-fi on, then tap Wi-Fi settings

    6. Tap Connect. You are ready to login.

Login using your mobile device


Connecting to a hotspot is easy, once you've set up your device to connect to BT Wi-fi and whenever you're in range, follow these steps:

  1. Open your web browser - a BT Wi-fi login page will appear. If it doesn't, refresh the page or type 'www.btwifi.com'

  2. Select login to wi-fi now. (Alternatively you can buy access from £4.00).

  3. Enter your email/username and password.

Note: Not all mobiles have the capability to display a confirmation page that you are online.


When you want to end your session on the internet

Click on the log out from BT Wi-fi button link to disconnect.
