BT Wi-fi for business
Free BT Wi-fi to go Live at 13 Standard Life Investments Shopping Centres
BT Wi-fi (www.btwifi.com) has announced a new deal to provide a free wi-fi service at 13 UK Standard Life Investments shopping centres and retail parks.
The service will be installed at centres including Churchill Square, Brighton, Castlepoint, Bournemouth and Centre Court, in Wimbledon, allowing shoppers to connect to their favourite brands anytime, anywhere. The bespoke network at each centre or park, will also support retailers' online sales strategies.
Ed Jenkins, Head of UK Retail, Standard Life Investments said: "We see this as an essential element of the on-going investment in our shopping centres and parks. As an owner we fully understand that the retail landscape continues to change and this technology helps to meet the evolving needs of shoppers and retailers alike. We're delighted to be delivering these improvements, for our customers, in partnership with BT Wi-fi."
Dan Byfield, Head of Marketing, BT Wi-fi, said: "We know how important it is to be able to get online while shopping. In fact, our research shows that 54% of people actively search for a wi-fi hotspot when shopping. We already operate the largest wi-fi network in the UK, with more than 5 million hotspots, and our new partnership with Standard Life Investments brings this valued service to an even wider audience, offering even better levels of service for shoppers enjoying a day out."
The BT Wi-fi installation project will be rolled out over the next few months.
